This is my prayer for you: "Comfort on difficult days Smiles when sadness intrudes Rainbows to follow the clouds Laughter to kiss your lips Sunsets to warm your heart Hugs when spirits sag Beauty for your eyes to see Friendships to brighten your being Faith so that you can believe Confidence for when you doubt Courage to know yourself Patience to accept the truth Love to complete your life!"
Mr. Pitt & Lickety's Split's book cover is finally complete! Yay!! This cover took the longest because I couldn't make up my mind about the way I wanted it to look. I knew what I didn't want...but didn't really know what I wanted. So it took Jeff the illustrator many tries before I was satisfied with the cover art. I am so relieved!!!! I was beginning to worry that Jeff would think I was becoming a major pain! However, being that he is so patient, he was more than happy to oblige all my requests. I believe I requested about 3 nose changes and about 4 different cover layouts.
Finally complete and ready for upload, here it is...
I think it turned out great!! Now compare the re-illustration created by the illustrator (above), with the original illustrations my son drew, at age 12 (below). For the complete story behind my son's drawings, read the Blog post dated July 29, 2011 titled "My Son The Illustrator."
I like to DREAM big and HOPE even bigger!
